We are the worlds largest association of senior-level planners. During 2016, SPIN is celebrating the #YearoftheMember, which provides FREE registration fees to events including SPINCon.

In October 2008, when SPIN Founder, Shawna Suckow, started the group, she felt that something was missing in her career, and wanted a forum to have a different level of conversation with peers who were at a similar experience level. There wasn’t any other place where senior-level planners could hang out with people facing the same challenges, joys, frustrations…so she created it. She never planned for it to become more than a simple LinkedIn group, but as it grew, it started filling a void in the industry.

SPIN is an exclusive (never pretentious!) community - We have nearly 2,500 members, all senior-level planners just like you. If you’re self-employed, all those small business concerns probably keep you up at night. If you work for a corporation, you’re figuring out ways to prove your worth to the C-Suite, and if you work for an association, you’re probably focusing how to improve member engagement and handle a changing landscape. Take heart: our members are dealing with the very same challenges as you. The group continues to evolve organically from word-of-mouth. We are not all things to all people, were just for you--for us--senior-level planners. Membership is open to planners with 10+ years full-time experience.

SPIN BRANCH EVENTS
Each quarter, in more than a dozen North American cities, SPIN leads education/networking CEU-accredited discussions on topics that matter to you. We know they matter--not because we have a crystal ball--but because the topics come directly from you and your peers (see, we really do listen).

SPINCON
Our award-winning annual event that is 100% about you as a whole person with a life outside of name badges (imagine that!). This year, SPINCon offers three distinct tracks to address your current needs, frustrations, and opportunities: BRAIN, BODY, and BEING. Attendees will engage their BRAIN by participating in our award-winning educational program, with courses on industry issues that’ll earn you clock hours. You will have optional opportunities for moving your BODY. You will also have activities to stimulate your BEING (yup, we’re taking a page out of Oprah’s book) like journaling, meditation and vision boards.

VIRTUAL EVENTS
Can’t make it to our branch events? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Our members are busy road warriors who need education and networking on their terms. Throughout the year, we offer a way for our members to gain education and connect with other planners VIRTUALLY. These virtual options include SPIN:Labs, an educational webinar series, and SPIN:Roundtables, online discussions held once a month on industry topics. SPIN is also a CEU and CAE provider, many virtual and branch courses qualify.
